OCBC opens flagship Premier Private Client Centre in Bangsar
OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (OCBC Bank) has officially launched its flagship OCBC Premier Private Client Centre in Bangsar, tailored for high-net-worth individuals with assets under management of at least RM3 million.
Occupying an impressive 18,000 square feet, the Centre is strategically positioned in the accessible residential neighbourhood, offering convenient proximity to the city centre while providing respite from congestion.
Speaking at the official opening of the flagship branch today, OCBC Bank CEO Mr Tan Chor Sen highlighted a dynamic three-pronged strategy that sets the stage for the “beyond banking” experience that the Centre offers.
“It delivers best-in-class financial solutions through the Bank’s innovative One Group approach, creates an inspiring environment with nature-inspired design, and hosts curated bespoke experiences that resonate with the audience.
“As the wealth management landscape evolves, so do clients' expectations. Our Premier Private Client services operate within a cohesive OCBC ‘One Group’ framework, allowing us to deliver integrated solutions. The new Centre, residing in a detached lot, provides the ideal setting where clients can expect privacy with discreet entry and exit to the private lounge for meaningful discussions with their Client Advisors,” he said.
Notably, the Centre features an in-house dining experience, serving curated local cuisine straight from its fully functional on-site kitchen during meetings with Client Advisors, supported by a service team made up mainly of former airline crew members who maintain a high standard of professionalism.
The Centre will also host exclusive, by-invitation-only events, offering unique experiences such as private tastings, art showcases, and viewings with renowned experts and lifestyle privileges, all designed to enhance clients' wealth management journeys.
It was officially opened today by Minister of Communications YB Fahmi Fadzil, who is also Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai, in which the OCBC Premier Private Client Centre, Bangsar, is located.
Also present at the event were OCBC Bank Chairman Mr George Lee, OCBC Group Head of Global Consumer Financial Services Mr Sunny Quek, OCBC Al-Amin Bank Berhad CEO Tuan Syed Abdull Aziz Syed Kechik, OCBC Bank Head of Consumer Financial Services Mr Sammeer Sharma, OCBC Bank Head of Wholesale Banking Mr Jeffrey Teoh, and OCBC Bank Head of Emerging Business Mr Chan Kok Leong.
During the opening event, guests were thrilled by a captivating line-up of events, art displays by local Malaysian artists, and tastings of whiskey, wine, and caviar, and a diverse selection of cocktails and mocktails. The celebration was enriched by historian Enzo Lim's storytelling about Bangsar, International Sand Art 2017 gold medalist Esther Yap's enchanting sand art, a captivating performance from the Young Choral Academy and Bangsar resident Gladys Simpson’s insights on the festivities, providing a unique perspective on the vibrant atmosphere.
